AgenciesFRESH is an architecture firm founded in Paris in 2007 by three partners: Julien Rousseau, Ulisse Gnesda, and Luca Battaglia. Drawing on architectural and urban concepts from Anglo-Saxon, Italian, Swiss, and French traditions, we work in France and abroad on urban projects that rebuild the city from within, as well as on initiatives to enhance the heritage value of exceptional buildings. With offices in Paris, Bordeaux, and Nice, the firm is expanding internationally by forging close ties with partner firms that offer complementary expertise.

Luca Battaglia
Founding Partner Architect, FranceInstallé en France depuis 1998, Luca Battaglia travaille trois ans au sein de l’agence de Yves Lion, dans laquelle il s’essaye aux projets et aux concours de logements. Laissant de côté le jeu d’imbrication et de superposition de typologies, il développe son expérience pragmatique du projet dans l’atelier Renzo Piano Building Workshop en suivant le chantier du Paul Klee Zentrum à Berne. C’est fort de cette double expérience de concepteur et de constructeur qu’il devient l’un des fondateurs de FRESH en 2007.
Candice Brandissou
Architect, FranceClaire Criqui
Project manager, FranceClaire obtient son diplôme d’architecte à l’Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture en 2017. Pendant 5 ans, elle travaille chez Engelmann Architecte sur des projets de réhabilitation lourde de la phase étude à la phase chantier. Depuis 2022, elle est titulaire de l’habilitation à la maîtrise d’œuvre en nom propre. Elle rejoint l’équipe FRESH en novembre 2022 pour travailler sur des projets de réhabilitation.
Inès De Bufala
Architect, FranceInès réalise son projet de fin d’études autour de questionnements qui ciblent une problématique sociale : 40% des jeunes sans-abris sont des jeunes majeurs sortant de l’Aide Sociale à l’Enfance. Intitulé « Agir avant la rue », son PFE s’inscrit dans une logique de prévention au sans-abrisme. En juillet 2021, Inès obtient son diplôme d’architecte DE à l’ENSA PVS. Ensuite, elle effectue son stage de fin d’études, puis voyage aux Etats-Unis avant d’intégrer l’agence FRESH en septembre 2022.
Marie de Montfalcon
Assistant Architect, FranceJulien Faure
Associate Architect, FranceJulien has held an HMONP architecture qualification from the École d’Architecture de la Ville et des Territoires de Marne-la-Vallée since 2010. After gaining experience at several Paris-based practices, he joined FRESH in 2011, where he has played a key role in the delivery of residential projects, including the emblematic Origami XXL development. Since 2020, he has been leading FRESH’s South-West office in Bordeaux, which develops landmark mixed-use projects, including Quai de Brienne, located in the heart of Bordeaux.
Pierre Fournet
Architect, FrancePierre graduated with a DE architecture degree from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Normandie in 2020. After several years of study in Rouen, he completed various internships at architecture practices in Paris, including a professional internship at FRESH Architecture in 2018. Passionate about photography and architectural representation, he is particularly interested in new approaches to 2D and 3D design and visualization. He joined the FRESH team in September 2020.
Samuel Gesnouin
Project manager, FranceSamuel graduated with a DE HMONP architecture degree from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-La Villette in 2017. During his studies, he spent a year in Italy at La Sapienza University of Rome and completed an internship at Horma estudio in Valencia, Spain. He began his career working on social housing projects at Atelier Tabet, before contributing to international projects at Studio Odile Decq. Having obtained his professional qualification to practice as an architect, Samuel joined FRESH Architecture in 2019.
Ulisse Gnesda
Founding Partner Architect, FranceUlisse Gnesda is an architect and urban planner who brings his vision of territorial planning and development to the practice. Before founding FRESH, he developed an in-depth understanding of the city and its public spaces through his work with Ateliers Lion associés, Brunet Saunier, Chaix & Morel, Olivier Chaslin, and Bernard Huet. From 2009 to 2016, he taught architectural design at the École d’Architecture de la Ville et des Territoires de Marne-la-Vallée.
Alexandre Jonvel
Chargé de mission, FranceAlexandre Jonvel est chargé de mission. Architecte-urbaniste et Architecte-Conseil de l’État, il a conduit pendant plus de vingt ans des projets mêlant architecture, urbanisme et ambitions environnementales. Il rejoint FRESH en 2025.
Christophe Leblond
Project Director, FranceA graduate of the École d’Architecture de la Ville et des Territoires Paris-Est, Christophe has extensive experience as both a Project Manager and Project Director, having held these positions at renowned practices including LAN Architecture, Herzog & de Meuron, and Ateliers Jean Nouvel. From 2023 onwards, he has focused his work on environmental responsibility and sustainable design, and joined FRESH’s refurbishment team in June 2024.
Charlotte Le Dain
Project manager, FranceGraduating from the École Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris in 2016, Charlotte spent six years at Julien Combes Architecture, working on office, retail, and residential projects. Passionate about parametric design, she developed her expertise in 3D modeling and architectural visualization. Following an experience in bespoke interior fit-out and custom joinery at U Interiors, she joined FRESH in January 2023, where she works on office refurbishment projects.
Marion Legrand
Project Director, FranceMarion graduated with a DESA architecture degree from INSA Strasbourg in 2012, following a two-month internship at Dominique Coulon & Associés and a three-month professional experience in Amsterdam. She obtained her HMO qualification in September 2013. After gaining experience at several Paris-based practices, including Bruno Rollet Architecte, rh+ architecture, and Richez Associés, she joined the FRESH team in January 2016 and notably delivered the 50 Avenue Montaigne project in 2022. Within the practice, Marion leads several refurbishment projects in Paris.
Yasmine Mfarrej
Office Manager, FranceStéphane Pereira
Managing Director, FranceDiplômé de l’École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Paris–La Villette en 2002, Stéphane débute sa carrière chez Jourda Architectes, où il exerce de 1999 à 2003. Il poursuit ensuite son parcours pendant treize années au sein de l’agence Jean-Marc Ibos & Myrto Vitart, contribuant à la réalisation de projets d’une grande diversité, tant par leur échelle que par leur programme. En septembre 2016, il rejoint FRESH en qualité de directeur de projet, pilotant notamment d’importantes opérations de réhabilitation à Paris. Fort de cette expérience, il occupe aujourd’hui les fonctions de directeur général de l’agence.
Sebastien Petra
Project manager, FranceSébastien Petra graduated with a DE architecture degree from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Bretagne in 2013, followed by a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the Université de Montréal in 2018. After gaining experience in both Nantes and Paris, including at Tetrarc and Anne-Françoise Jumeau Périphériques, he joined the FRESH Architecture team in September 2022.
Héloïse Reydellet
Architect, FranceJulien Rousseau
Founding Partner Architect, FranceHe is a partner and managing director at Fresh. Previously, he worked on major projects such as the Art Institute of Chicago and Tower Bridge in London at Renzo Piano Building Workshop, and the Hearst Tower and Canary Wharf Station at Foster + Partners. Today, he oversees all projects and the team, as well as the development of the Fresh firm. In 2021, he co-founded the interior architecture firm Rousseau Dapelo with Giovanna Dapelo.

Architect, FranceDiplômée de l’ENSA Nantes, Selin a pu enrichir son expérience d’un échange à l’Université de Munich et de plusieurs stages, en France et en Allemagne. Intéressée par les problématiques de réhabilitation et de réemploi, elle a notamment travaillé sur le fonctionnement du cycle de vie des bâtiments et son amélioration à travers les nouveaux modes de conception. Elle rejoint FRESH en octobre 2024.

Finance Director, FranceAfter obtaining a degree in Law and a qualification in Executive Assistance, Nadia has 13 years of experience working with architecture practices, including AdA, Novarina, and S&V Architectures. She joined the FRESH team in May 2016, where she oversees the practice’s administrative and organisational operations.
