The Provinces of France

Located at the boundary between the historic city center—in the heart of a city block—and the “neighborhood heart” urban development, the project is set to play a key role in the functioning and cohesion of the ZAC des Provinces Françaises. To the south, it opens onto a block with an orthogonal layout, currently undergoing redevelopment. The projects underway there aim, in particular, to redevelop the park located in the center of the block. To the north, across a busy boulevard, the project overlooks an environment undergoing profound change. The urban development taking place there is bringing about changes in the neighborhood’s layout. For example, the RER station spanning the boulevard is being relocated to integrate with the city and connect to the tram line. The project must therefore bridge these two environments and integrate intelligently into an open site with simple volumes scaled to the neighborhood.
