Heritage & Contemporary Uses
ParisThe rehabilitation of 50 Avenue Montaigne is part of a comprehensive approach to sustainable cities, encompassing the transformation of existing buildings and their adaptation to societal challenges, whether functional or environmental.
Building the city upon itself must be viewed through a long-term vision aimed at improving the environment and enhancing user well-being.
The pandemic crisis highlighted just how crucial spatial perception is to a user’s well-being. Moving away from single-use spaces, the goal is now to design mixed-use, flexible spaces that can adapt to changing needs. This mindset drove the restructuring of 50 Avenue Montaigne, particularly regarding workspace design, where the concept of user comfort is paramount.
The 1,800 sqm of planted loggias and accessible terraces on every floor highlight the hybrid nature of modern working methods.

Furthermore, the pursuit of natural light, achieved through the volumetric redesign of the existing structure, has optimized sunlight exposure across all floor plates. From a design standpoint, it was necessary to rethink the volumes, simplify their legibility, and enhance their operational flexibility in order to create a human-centric workspace conducive to social connection, innovation, and well-being. The goal is to make 50 Montaigne a building that drives emulation and productivity, fostering encounters and the exchange of ideas within inspiring spaces. 50 Avenue Montaigne is therefore a manifest project, whose program multiplies amenities. “By revealing the essence of 50 Montaigne through its enhancement, it is given the opportunity to anchor itself in a contemporary dynamic, adapting it to the uses of its time and those of tomorrow.”
